The universe is expansion, and it is contraction (compression).
It is an endless space of great volume, possessing a twist and protected by the energy that encompasses all motion.

● 全宇宙はそこに有り、事の始まりも終わりも無く存在している。全ての出来事はその中での事である。

宇宙は膨張であり、収縮（圧縮）である。

全ての動きを包括するエネルギーに守られた、捻れのある大きな体積をもった、エンドレス空間をいう。ビックバン(この表現が現時点では一番理解される)が始まり、銀河系の誕生、宇宙空間の膨張、星の終焉、ブラックホールの存在、銀河系全ての消滅となり、無のエネルギー空間のみとなる。

同時に捻れの反対側空間では、相対して無のエネルギーを全て吐き出し、有のエネルギーが圧縮の頂点と化し、ビックバンが引き起こされ始める。

宇宙空間は捻れ接点を境に、初めと終わりを繰り返す、無限を感じさせる大きな空間である。

有のエネルギーが圧縮の頂点と成りビックバンが始まった。そうして無のエネルギーが送り込まれる。

ビックバンと同時に勢い宇宙空間の膨張が始まる。

ものの始まりのように、銀河系の再生が始まり、生命エネルギーも活動可能空間を探し、蘇生した。

ビックバンの始まりは、全てのものの始まりと考えられるが捻れのもう一方の空間に於いて、膨張が最高潮となり、無のエネルギーのみが存在するに至り、相対する片方の捻れ空間の圧縮限界を導いた。

そうして、ビックバンが叉、始まるのである。

捻れは、大きな空間の胴を絞り込み捻った状態で閉ざされているかのようである。

隙間が狭く、一方の空間への移動には全空間バランスの中で行われる。一つの大なる空間を捻れ一つでエンドレス効果を生み出す。

その捻れの存在をいつの時代も、生命体は意識することはできない。

たとえ一握りの者たちが知りえたとしても、悠久の一時の出来事として全ては空間に飲まれ去ってしまうこととなる。

What we currently call the Big Bang (a term most easily understood for now) begins, leading to the birth of galaxies, the expansion of cosmic space, the death of stars, the existence of black holes, and eventually the disappearance of all galaxies, leaving only a void of pure energy.

At the same time, in the opposing twisted space, all the energy of “nothingness” is expelled, and the energy of “being” reaches the peak of compression, triggering the Big Bang.
The universe is a great space with a twist-point as its boundary, endlessly repeating beginnings and endings.

When the energy of “being” reached the peak of compression, the Big Bang began.
Thus, the energy of “nothingness” was sent forth.

The beginning of the Big Bang may be considered the beginning of everything, but in the opposite twisted space, expansion reached its extreme, leaving only the energy of nothingness, which in turn caused the opposite twisted space to reach its limit of compression.
Thus, the Big Bang begins once again.

The twist appears as if the body of a great space has been tightened and closed.
The gap is narrow, and movement from one side to the other occurs only within the balance of the entire space.
A single twist in one great space produces an endless effect.
No living beings, in any age, can become aware of the existence of this twist.
Even if a handful were to grasp it, it would be swallowed by the space itself, becoming only a fleeting event in eternity.

Outside the twisted space, nothing exists.
The space itself is the entire universe.

おわりに

山里　稔 15才より自分の存在に興味を持ち、次第に相反する言葉や身近かな事柄での矛盾にたいし意識することが多くなって行った。

又、美術史に触れることで、民族、文化、習慣などに興味が広がり、最後には宇宙と自分とのかかわりを考えるようになって行った。油彩画で表現し始めた最初のテーマが矛盾で、立体制作でのテーマは移行であった。現在のオブジェでは持論の宇宙感での想像をテーマとしている。

宇宙物理学者が語る宇宙の成立ちや、最新の宇宙論などと自分の考えとの比較を続けていた。

しかし、私が思う矛盾を解きほどくことは無かった。2002年3月いつものように、オブジェの制作をしながら、宇宙の仕組みに付いて想像をしている時、自分がこの広い宇宙のどこかに、もう一人の自分が存在していると云う中学時代に思っていたことが蘇り、15才の時から56才に至る今迄の思考の撹拌が始まり、収支の付かない状態に落ち入った。ややしばらく混乱している時、宇宙は始めからそこに存在していた。そうして風船の胴の部分がよじれたような姿で隙間はあるが、そのよじれを境に二つの空間が存在し、エネルギー によって二つの空間がエンドレスのように作用して行く宇宙の姿が浮かんできた。

そうして今迄の思考のもやもやが一瞬の内に消え去って雲一つない爽快な気持ちにさせてくれる。私の思っていた宇宙の疑問全てを打消してくれたからだ。

それからの私は、オブジェの創作に迷いはなく、気持ちよく制作を続けている。そうして造形作家が考えた「山里 稔の宇宙論」として、図解や、オブジェにしたり、又、理論の仕組みを数式では表せないが、文章化して発案当時、大学の宇宙物理に関わる人達や何人かの友人に話しをしている。

オリジナル発想と考えています。発想に賛同される方がいましたら、是非、手を上げてください。

世界における今後の宇宙の研究や解釈が、どのように発展するかとても楽しみにしている一人です。

Since the age of fifteen, I have maintained a deep interest in my own existence, gradually becoming increasingly aware of contradictions in language, everyday phenomena, and other aspects of life.
Engagement with the history of art further expanded my interests to include ethnicity, culture, and customs, ultimately leading me to contemplate the relationship between the universe and myself. My initial artistic explorations in oil painting focused on the theme of contradiction, while subsequent work in three-dimensional sculpture addressed the concept of transition. In my current objects, I explore imagination and conceptualizations informed by my personal cosmological perspective.

Throughout this period, I continuously compared my own ideas with accounts of cosmic formation provided by astrophysicists and with contemporary cosmological theories. Nevertheless, the contradictions I perceived remained unresolved.

In March 2002, while engaged in my usual sculptural practice and contemplating the structure of the universe, a long-standing intuition from my early adolescence resurfaced—the notion that another version of myself might exist somewhere within this vast cosmos. This reflection triggered a profound cognitive re-examination of my thought processes spanning from age fifteen to fifty-six, leading initially to a state of unresolved intellectual tension.

During this period of reflection, a conceptual image of the universe emerged: the universe had always existed, with a configuration resembling the twisted body of a balloon. Within this twisted form, two interconnected domains exist, separated by the twist, through which energy interacts in a continuous, seemingly endless manner. This visualization provided immediate clarity, dissipating prior uncertainties and resolving the questions I had long posed regarding the cosmos.

Since this realization, I have proceeded with artistic creation without hesitation, producing objects informed by this conceptual cosmology. This body of work, referred to as “Minoru Yamasato’s Cosmology,” has been expressed through diagrams, sculptural objects, and descriptive texts—while the underlying theoretical framework cannot be fully represented in mathematical formalism, I have discussed these ideas with university-level physicists involved in cosmology as well as with several colleagues.

I consider these ideas to be entirely original. I welcome engagement and discourse from others who find resonance with this perspective. I remain deeply interested in observing how future research and interpretation of the universe will develop on a global scale.
